Ayla is a creative visionary who birthed the Academy of Attunement amongst many other things including 3 amazing human children. She is the woman I trust most with the deepest corners of my heart, my soul, my life.
To me Ayla is a way-shower. She is willing to step beyond what is known & find new ways to relate to the ancient spirits of trust, faith & power. She has modeled to me (& countless others) how to step into challenge with an open heart & a clear mind. Ayla is a constant reminder that the flow of life is a flow. Not static, ever-changing, something worth paying attention to, honoring & learning from. She is a forever student & community centered teacher who gives generously & loves fiercely.

Donna is an elder who has been supporting people to create more nurturing relationships since 1978 & is devoted to helping humankind remember that we all are created by love, that we all are love.
She is the one who chose to be the earth portal for me. She grew my body within her, pushed me out into the world & has been nurturing me in all the ways she is able ever since.
She is Mother.
For the entirety of my life I have witnessed this woman living ceaseless journey of discovery. She is constantly evolving, always learning & perpetually sharing with openness & generosity. She is a prime example of what it means to fully embrace this human experience as a spiritual being & what it looks life to commit to a lifetime of growth.

Laura
Laura is a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) and clinical supervisor who specializes in helping young people.
To me Laura is someone who is willing to be herself in a world that does not make it cozy or safe to do so. I am so grateful that our daughter has that model, that permission to be & to discover who she really is, no matter what. My connection with Laura is one of that has inspired profound growth, catalyzing massive shifts in the ways I relate to myself, others and the world at large. From marriage, to parenting. From parenting to divorce. From divorce to learning how to co-parent across lines of difference, to meet each other with respect when the shadows of the past loom up. I have so much appreciation for this human being & a deep sense of gratitude for the way she chooses to walk through this world.

Lina is a “modern day limpia lady” & the visionary behind Rootz & Ritual (alongside being a culinary genius 🤤).
To me Lina is a living example of what it means to human in these times. And yes I mean that human as a verb. She isn’t afraid to be something other than perfect, will step up to clean up whatever mess she contributes to. She is an incredibly welcoming being who is willing stand in the fire alongside you & is also willing to dive deep, deep down (even when she’s missing her flippers). Lina reminds me to be tender with myself, with the parts of me that don’t feel they have permission to be met with softness, with love.
She has changed my life just by being willing to be in it.

Regina
Regina is a creative visionary who brought Mystic Flora Apothecary into being. I see her as a deeply connected Earth mama who’s creative essence is felt viscerally wherever she goes. Regina reminds me of the potency of liberated joy & inspires me to be more & more myself with less & less apology.

Donny
Donny is licensed therapist, facilitator with AOA & lifelong learner exploring the connections between modern psychology, indigenous wisdom, spirituality, and the soul.
To me Donny is an embodiment of love, gentleness, kindness, compassion & humility that is so needed in men today. He is a safe person. Safe because he does not take that safety for granted & is willing to truly look at who he’s being, who he’s impacting, how he’s impacting them.
Donny brings a level of care to relationships that is not at all common & is part of what I see as a template for doing this human thing together in more conscious, more accepting, more loving ways.

Derek (aka Der) is a deep listening, fiercely compassionate human being. He self identifies as an older brother, a son, a dad to his furbaby, a friend, a student, a teacher, and a human being who is gratefully living his human experience.
To me Der is a gold standard for what it looks like to be deeply accountable, radically responsible & exceptionally empathetic - not as concept, as embodied practice. He is a human who lives by choice and ensures that he is continuing to do so by consistently checking in not only with himself but also with those of us who are blessed enough to be close to & trusted by him.
